Wedding Options

Weddings can take place in the elegant salon or in the lovely gardens, incorporating the charm and spontaneity of a home wedding - both personal and unique.  Your wedding menu is carefully crafted to reflect your tastes and desires.
 
Whole House Rental
For your guests' convenience and your peace of mind, you can arrange to rent MacKechnie House for your wedding.  The fee of $950.00 includes the use of all the bedrooms from 4 pm until 11 am the next day.  Also included in the rental is a full breakfast for all overnight guests.
Next Day Reception
Arrangements can be made for a traditional Next Day Reception for overnight guests and additional guests of the wedding.
Off-Site Weddings
Cathryn caters off-site weddings held at your home, Victoria Hall in Cobourg, or any other location you have chosen.  Cathryn also travels to out of town locations.

Wedding Menus
Your wedding day is one of the most important occasions in your life. Cathryn's objective is to help you create an atmosphere and a meal that reflects this importance.

Cathryn meets with you personally to learn more about your tastes, your requirements and the kind of ambience that you are looking for.  Your wedding menu is developed to be completely unique to you and your guests.

Special dietary requirements are readily accommodated. All meals can include some vegetarian options or be exclusively vegetarian.

All details such as staffing and rentals are attended to.  Cathryn can also put you in touch with Officiants, Photographers, Florists, Musicians and Aestheticians.

Meals can be traditional, ethnic, fusion, regional or nouvelle cuisine.  You can choose from buffet style or a sit-down dinner.  Service can be formal or casual.  The goal is to make your wedding meal delicious, stunning, original and stress-free.

Nowhere else can your wedding menu be so perfectly suited to your desires, expectations, and personality.
 

Pricing Details

  • Meals are priced on a per person basis and range upwards from $35.00.
  • You may provide your own bar as long as a Special Occasion Permit is obtained.  There is no corkage fee or up-charge.
  • An Administration Fee of $150.00 is due upon booking.
  • Depending on the size of your party, additional staff, tents, and rental items (dishes, etc.) may be required. All costs are approved by you before arrangements are made so there are no surprises on your final bill.
  • GST and PST are applicable.  A Gratuity is discretionary.
