Catering

Catering is a specialty at MacKechnie House.  Cathryn Thompson catered professionally in Toronto before moving to Cobourg.  She has created dishes for countless weddings, private functions, reunions and family gatherings ranging from 10 to 250 guests.  Her understanding and love of food becomes more obvious with each bite of any catered meal. 

MacKechnie House is a perfect spot for special occasions such as Weddings or Wedding Rehearsals (click here to see wedding menu information), Christmas Parties, Birthdays or Anniversaries.

It is also an excellent venue for corporate meetings and retreats.  The grand dining room table doubles as a boardroom table.  Only one function at a time is ever scheduled, so complete privacy is ensured.

Off-site catering is also available for your wedding or other special occasion.

All menus are designed for you taking into account your preferences and style. 

  • All menus include coffee and tea.

  • The client provides all bar requirements. There is no corkage or up-charge. A bartender may be required depending on numbers and the extent of the bar.

  • Prices include staff.  Taxes and gratuity are not included.

  • If numbers exceed 20, some rentals may be required.
